What do you need for this drink?

You don’t need much for our Fruity Green Tea thirst quencher. The Zheng Tea Room tea sommeliers have already put together a delicious tea blend that you can buy ready-made in our webshop. The Vermillion Bliss is named after the beautiful red/pink color of the ingredients and consists of a mix of green herbal tea, pomegranate and goji berries.

This blend is full of antioxidants and is therefore extra healthy! Do you fancy a warm cup of tea on a cold rainy day? No problem. You can as well use this tea blend for a cup of hot tea.

For our recipe you will have to use the Vermillion Bliss as the basis of your iced tea. To make your iced tea extra refreshing, add some lemon and mint. Don’t forget to mash the mint for a while in order to release the delicious flavors.

The preparation:

To make your iced tea extra healthy, we advise not to use heated or boiling water. It is healthier to soak the tea bag in about 1 liter of cold water. This will take up about 6 to 8 hours.

Simply fill a pitcher or bottle of water, add the tea bag and optionally the mint and lemon, and let it soak in the fridge. By soaking your tea bag in cold water you can increase the antioxidant activity and that is exactly what we want!

After 6 to 8 hours your healthy thirst quencher is ready. Easy right? Did you know that research has shown that homemade iced tea is much healthier than the instant option? Even the sugar-free iced tea contains no less than 90% fewer antioxidants. Enough reasons to reserve 5 minutes of your time and make this delicious Fruity Green Tea.
